My name is Sveta. I come from a small town that in Ukraine. Now I live in Turkey. At the heart of my painting practice is the principle of “state”. Situation is important to me: a meeting with a potential pictorial image can happen anywhere. For me, the environment is a flurry of visual material. I am interested in the characters of people, their emotions, inner world and relationships, the rhythm of nature and the rhythm of the city, the man in the urban landscape, the air, the singing of birds - all life around me is a potential source of pictorial expression. I set the task of wresting the most important thing from the stream, of seeing in it the potential object of my labor. In my works, state is primary, not visual similarity.
